This coming year will be the first year i spend the entire weekend in carlisle, so how far ahead of time do most of you reserve your hotel rooms, and is there any hotels that are better than others at allowing parties??

thats what i was afraid of....so the sooner the better it is. Do they require any money down to reserve the rooms, just curious.

That's a good idea, to reserve that far in advance I will do that this coming year. Now that I have the dates I will make reservations.

I got reservations for the All-Fords on Dec 6. Got a room at HoJo for $47/night! I'm please with that considering how much rooms can go for in Carlisle. Don't know how full the place gets for the truck show though. Good Luck! :)

the Rodeway Inn management is pretty strict. It's a decent place for the money but 2 years in a row the management treated us all like little kids so we chose to stay at the Super 8 this year. Last year hanging out with some friends at the Super 8 it seemed like a lot more laid back atmosphere.

What I didn't like about Rodeway wasthe fact that 95 % of the people were outside talking with one another in a respectful manner and the management just came and told everyone to get back in their rooms. It was only 10 pm. No one was being loud (other than the occassional PPPSSSST or a compressor for a few mins... which I can understand keeping the machines off during night hours) or disrespectful. They were just forcing everyone back into the rooms. The cops even showed up immediately afterwards, so I suspect they were called. Not cool in my book.

So I went to visit some friends at the Super 8. Much more relaxed. Until it got real late there were people even riding around on those mini crotch rockets without hassle. Everyone was behaving and having a good time. No problems at all.

This year i made reservations early. I wasn't sure how fast the super 8 would fill up so I made them.. hmmmm, 2 months ago? maybe more. I'm looking forward to this year's show.

I stay at the Carlisle camp grounds right behind the Turkey Hill / across from Sheetz's gas station. Cops patrol it somewhat, but have a blast with everyone else, it's one big party.
