2007 Show-No Sled Pulls????

My guys are wondering why the sled pulls have been dropped from the show this year.I have guys with both diesel pickups and semis(the possibility of them pulling was mentioned last year) waiting to find out whats going on.There is a pull away from Carlisle but the guys who supported your pull last year want to come back and bring others along also.

Why were they dropped or is there any hope of a return to the schedule?...Andy

The truck pulls were dropped because of the cost of trucking the dirt in to create the track. Last year we had a motoX track at the Bike show and the people who brought the dirt were into that aspect of the show and we got a good deal on the dirt hauling for both shows, set-up, etc.

This year the price more than trippled from the same place! We do not have an explination as to why. We looked for cheaper places to get the dirt/trucking, but no one was even close to what we paid last year and no one even came within budget.

The pulls are gone from 2007, but that does not mean we won't bring them back if we find the right price on setting up the track. I know some of you are thinking...just do it on the grass, that is not an option with the Corvette show two weeks later and the grass probably wouldn't recover for Fall either.

I hope you all understand. We liked the idea of having pulls at the show, but with the increase in hauling we cannot justify bringing it back.

Sorry to hear that Rich.
I am not sure why or how the cost increased so much but its a shame it happened.Please contact me for next year as I have a place who will come in,set up the track and provide a sled if the need is there.....Andy
