Reading some of your post that you have made I feel like some of you are wrongfully mis treated by the police for little stuff. Maybe with enough names if someone starts a petition and mails it to the city of Carlisle the mayor can look at it and see how many people feel like they are being targeted. iF that doesn't do any good then maybe contact the media about it CNN, Fox news channel etc It may make the cops look bad for targeting people who are just coming to have a good time. with the harassment the cops give the car show people at the performance and style it makes them not want to drive 4 hours or more that I know alot of you drove because I saw many NY license plates and NJ plates MD counts to about a two hour drive from Baltimore and you West Virginia Visitors. Something has to be done though about this or else it will ruin the show eventually and nobody will come. I guess if it gets ruined in Carlisle maybe take it to philly or pittsburg or somewhere else maybe baltimore

I can understand getting pulled over wrongfully, but if you get pulled over for illegal tint and it is indeed illegal, then what are you fighting for?

Well But I mean wrongfully. I thought I read some post on here that people said the cops pulled them over for stuff that wasn't even illegal.

maybe in the states where they're from it isnt illegal to ride around with neons... not necessarily what you're talking about, but get what I'm saying? I think its bad that so many cars get pulled over and then the press does nothing but dis us. Alot of the tuners now a days are parents and older people who no longer need to do burnouts in the city or start riots in the crowd or walk around like a typical alcoholic. Its a shame that we're still given this image by a few bad eggs. I know after the hot rod shows there are plenty of older guys driving vehicles that shouldnt be on the road for various imfractions but they get away with it. Its a shame to say, the cops know when the import show is and when they're gonna make a killin. But its a smack in there face if you all follow the laws and no one does anything stupid. Then they waste their money with all the men and women being out on the force with no citations coming in. I have a bright orange car and drove all the way down the pike late at night. Carlisle to Harrisburg right down the pike and drove by about a dozen cop cars and vans. I didnt get pulled over. Ive got flashy lights, big shiny wheels, 15% tint, fast blinking turn signals and tons of other illegal "Here I am come ticket me" mod's but the cops didnt bother me. I wasnt driving like a ***** or showing off either. You break the law, you break the law... its set in stone.

I'll sign this petition. The cop who got me for tint was a real jerk and I think he treated me even worse because I'm a female.

It has been a while since I started a petition I forget how to do it. Last time I did one I got 498 names to try and save a music venue that the city tried to shut down of the town I state I lived in before PA. Maybe u could start a petition Amanda.

Sometimes cops can be big jerks to women as well i see what you are saying. that one guy is lucky that he didn't get pulled over with all of that stuff and that tint.

I live about 1 hour west of Carlisle and my daughter lives right by the fairgrounds. The police there are very strick; I am very careful to obey all posted signs and have been lucky so far. My daughter says she feels that they do target the younger crowd even more. The only thing I can tell you is not to break the traffic laws in the area. The posted 55 mph on I81 is also enforced to the letter of the law. Another pointer is make sure you stop when coming off the turnpike onto RT 11. It looks like a yield but there is a stop sign there. And from the turnpike to the fairgrounds the speed limit changes a few times make sure you obey it.
Thanks

ofcourse the police are going to target the younger tuner crowd. look at what the tuner crowd has messed up.
22 used to be fun to hang out on before retards started street racing.
the pike was the same way.
you guys act like the tuner crowd are angels. it only takes a handful of douchebags to mess it up and give everyone a bad rap.

I saw more stupid-ass behavior from the ricer crowd this weekend than I care to ever see again.
Don't want tickets? Don't be a douche.
There were assclowns trying to race me in my rental car. Grow the hell up.
Remember this show was chased out of town a few times? So I guess they figured if it is back it will be right or else or they will chase out the cars.
Yes I have seen some of the cops stoping people for some border calls but they know you will not return a few hundred mi for a hearing over $125 or so.
As for the tint how would you like to walk up to a window not knowing what is on the other side, a gun, knife, drunk or just a nice normal person (guy or girl) that like the look of dark windows. Also it's hard to ID the driver if there is a problem.
