I Dunno how many times this subject has been brought up but it would be nice and fair if you had vendors or regular joe ppl who have spare parts for import trucks ! Whats' so hard about attracting ppl who have import parts forsale or ppl who have a business in import parts? ? IF You look at the atn fields you'd see a vass array(ok so my spelling is crap! sue me ! ) of chevy's fords , dodge , toyota , nissan ,mazda isuzu , mistubishi (sp? ) we don't ask for much but it looks like you get ALOT more of Chevy parts vendors , and Ppl with classics .. Nice ! You have tons of space there (82 acres infact) How bout some import truck vendors ! i have a hard time finding parts im looking for locally maybe someone from a different state or region has a part im lookin for? Am i gona post it here ? nah cause i'd rather sit and look thru the vendors area when i go . DO i complain about lack of parts alot ? maybe maybe not . I just think it would be fair for all !

I'd rather be castrated by a wooden spoon used by a doctor on crack!
Keep the imports in your high school parking lot not carlisle's. just my two cents.

Gee thanks for the open mind . You know i put alot into my dedication into my truck just cause i don't own a chevy , dodge , ford ..does NOT mean im not any better then you . You make it seem like your better then everyone cause you don't like import trucks . Tuff . Last i checked carlisle all trucks is open to ALL TRUCKS thank you very much . and im sure that carlisle productions wouldn't like to see such a comment . The reason why i asked for import parts is that its Hard to find oem and aftermarket parts . If they don't get some ppl to come with aftermarket parts and o.e.m parts it will escalate ppl with import trucks to NOT come to All Truck Nationals. And just for your info I AM NOT A HIGH SCHOOL PUNK! I 'm 28 years old I don't do stupid things like burnouts . Sounds like you are a profiler ... Grow some balls and give some respect !

you have a problem? send me a pm jerk.

I say bring on the import vendors.I think it would be nice to be able by an aftermarket fender and hood and other parts for your hardbodys or taco's.
For me it would be closer to buy there.

and i have mine....seems pretty simple there buddy.

you know its disheartening to see you so upset about this little matter. if you truely do feel so threatened you might want to seek a good doctorfor that, you know, someone to perscribe an anti depressant or something? I find it interesting that i never said i or anyone else was, "better" than yourself,....however, good imagination on that response! Kudos to your creative ability to "read into" my post to find something to get your panties into a bind about. i think you just proved to everyone out there reading this just "why" no one is interested in imports,...

ride safe.

i said what i said cause i took offense that you assumed i was a high school punk kid . and you profiled me like i was one of the import "tuners" that carlisle had a problem with .. I am NOT one of them.. and yet you further say i need help . well i think you are the one who started this by answering with negitivity . Why not help the sport grow and allow the import trucks in , We are the hot rods of today . We are basically doing what hot rodders did of yester year . Its sad that a customizer such as you has to profile someone because they choose to drive a import truck .. Maybe our trucks were the best choice for our money at the time ? I never said a damn thing negative about your truck nor hot rods . I love hotrods . I even owned a 71 nova for a time . So before you "PROFILE" someone better put your self in check and respect others when it comes to thier trucks .

"Why not help the sport grow and allow the import trucks in , We are the hot rods of today ."

I am all for helping a sport grow but the 'import" world is NOT the "hot rod" of today! www.jalopyjournal.com check it out. You have your likes and dislikes and others have theirs. Why not start your own "import" show and swap meet if you are so deeply into imports? Personally I have a big problem with the whole idea of "imports", there is enough outsourcing going on in America and importing, I was obviously born in the wrong time period because I believe in AMERICAN enginuity be cause we have done it best and continue to do so. So no, the "import" world is HARDLY the "hot rod" of today! You need to get out more. I'd pin ANY import any day against ANY properly tuned and hopped up Flathead or Y-block from the 40's or 50's!! Right now I'm with out a flathead engine or I would gladly have a nice pleasant meeeting with any one wanting to rumble on the blacktop and lay down some rubber.

"We are basically doing what hot rodders did of yester year"

No, most import guys use 99% overseas items,....and there was ALWAYS a very strong reasoning to use AMERICAN made auto parts on AMERICAN automobiles. There is a BIG difference but in the same vein of things there are vague similarities also. You need to dig deep into the auto history of speed in the 30's, 40's and 50's. then you'll see what I'm talking about.

"Its sad that a customizer such as you has to profile someone because they choose to drive a import truck"

Its even sadder that you didn't see the obvious, in as much that I "profiled you" solely based on your attitude and response to my simple opinon. nothing more was needed, you provide all the ammo yourself really,..now THAT is sad.

"Maybe our trucks were the best choice for our money at the time ?"

No, it was your "taste' in trucks that led you to the import world. if it really "was" a money issue then you would have easily been able to find a great ride from the 40's through the 50's. Especially if you were looking for a ride that needed some TLC and work. No it has nothing to do with "money" being that I can attest to that. i scored a 1950 GMC pickup for $780 bucks. Needs work, and the GMC engines of that period were favorites among many racers of the 50's unless you could score a good solid Flathead. Cash plays a role in what you spend,..not what you spend your cash on!

"I never said a damn thing negative about your truck nor hot rods"

The entire idea of rodding out an import is negative enough. Nothing more is even needed. "Friends don't let friends drive imports!"

"I even owned a 71 nova for a time . So before you "PROFILE" someone better put your self in check and respect others when it comes to thier trucks ."

I can respect muscle cars but have no use for them personally. But, then again they are not the issue here are they? As far as respect, I can completely "respect" the enginuity that anyone from any background can put into any automobile, it's the automobile and the vast stereotypical attitudes and thug-crap-attitude that goes hand in hand with the "Import" crowd that is killing the outlet itself! Putting yourself on the same plane as the guys "of yesteryear" is showing a lack of respect, not one personal sharing a simple two sentence opinion.
