I didn't care for the drive-up judging process this year at the all-truck nats. The traffic was ridiculous trying to get into the show field. Also, since the show field was not marked off into categories like usual, you really didn't know where to park your truck or where to go to see the trucks you like. My husband and I have been to all-trucks for 7 years, and this was the first time we were ever a little disappointed. Hope the process is reconsidered for 2005.

This was my first year I had my truck in the show and I also said the same thing when I got there. I had no idea where to go or when anything was going on. They had me all over the place. I think the show would be much better with a little bit more of organization of the fields. The first night they had me leave my truck in the selling part of the show, because they lost my name for the show registration. I was kinda upset by this. The over all show I thought was awsome. Cant beat the variety and number of trucks that showed up!!

The drive up judging didn't bother me that much. i actually thought it was better than having to wait around for the judges to come around. but i HATED the fact that the cars weren't grouped in their classes this year. i had no idea how many or what trucks were in my class, plus i'm sure i missed some trucks that i would have definitely wanted to see.

I liked the way that you could park with all your friends that drove differnt classes of vehicles and the those non-comp lazy friends. We set up our shade canopy, sat, watched and (very important to me at least) ----listened to the vehicles drive by us.

If we saw something special, we walked over to the judging lane exit or found them afterwards.

The ULTIMATE IMO would be a small straight section of safety guardrailed road that the judges could request the contestants to show off their vehicle in motion and what it actually sounds like under full acceleration. They could also drag frame or hop maybe not a full routine like in the dedicated competition but just an opportunity to show the vehicle working. That would be neat and great video opportunities.

Might even relieve some of the problems with the local authorities.

This pretty well mimics the feedback I've heard from the veteran Carlisle participants of FullSizeChevy.com. We're looking forward to '05 though! :D

I agree that the drive up judging was pretty good, it was nice to go up after you were finished cleaning so there is no worry about the judges coming around while you're still cleaning, or having to wait all day for them to show up. I didn't like the park you want idea, if you only have an interest in one type of truck this made it very hard to walk around and find what you were looking for.

I had no problem with the way judging was done except for the huge traffic jam when everyone was trying to get into the lanes trying to be judged. We could park together with our friends and hang during the day. :)

I was very pleased with the judging no vehicles were missed being judged as in prior years. Parking for clubs could have had more attention paid to it. We had 67 members present and we could not fit all that were there in the space we were allotted.

Other wise it was a great show and we will be back next year.

I would much rather park with friends and family than be forced to park with people that I don't know just because we were in the same class. It was much more fun this year hanging out under the canopys/tents and walking around in small groups checking out all of the trucks and vendors. Speaking of vendors, I was a little bit disappointed with what I thought was a small number of vendors present. I thought that there were way more vendors at Bloomsburg than this year's ATN.

Overall, I thought that the show was excellent and with a few minor tweaks it can be even better in 2005.

This was my first year back after taking a few years off at the truck nationals, and I have to say that I was impressed and happy about some of the changes. I was pleased with the judging and the drive up lanes, tents and the way it was judged. Maybe though, the judges could have a little personality and maybe acknowlege that we exist? I've met comatose zombies with better personalities. As for the classification, it was finally fair, as the way that it should be, and the judges classified the trucks as they pulled up to be judged. My only major gripe, is that all of us that were judged, well, who was our competition? With being able to park anywhere on the show field, who knew what the other entries were in your class? I didn't!

Next year, keep the judging as it is with the drive up judging and classification, but go back to making the different classes park together. Amkes it fun and interesting for all. As for the clubs that want to park together, let them. Give them a reserved area and they can hang and party together like always.

Just my 2 cents.

I agree with you to the judges had to be pride with a crowbar to answer a question after the judging to ask what do you need to improve? etc. I agree about parking by class to see your compitition would be nice, but also feel it would be impossible to do with the drive up judging and the clubs areas. I rather be parked with my friends, than by class. IMO
