Looks like a full crew again this year! We had over 47 Mach's lined up and ran out of room. We have a club tent and I "think?" Scott Hoag "MAY" be there too!

Looks like we MAY not have our OWN class as in the past 2 years. Why? I have only been
We may get grouped with others..."2003-UP Mach 1 and Other Mustangs"?
Not exactly sure, but sounds that way.
We can still all park together. I think we will be close to Gate #3, just drive straight in about the middle along the access road...to the right?? I think.

Would like to have our own class. I don't know the numbers, but we usually have 40 or more 2003/2004 Mach 1's.

I will be there early and others too, we can still park them all together!!! :)
Not sure WHY they didn't give us the class?? I know Lisa has worked with over the last 2-3 years and we have been going to the Ford show since it started 10 years ago. Of course, She is no longer there, but must be they don't want our participation and/or business.
If they are not going to give us our own class, as they have for the past 2-3 years!!! we bring 40-50 cars!!! Maybe We will look for another event to host our North East Regional Meet next year!!! :(

How are your pre-registration numbers? If they are equal to or greater than last year, the chance of having an individual class is increased.

I PMed Dave P the event planner for this show and asked what was going on with our class. Hopefully he will respond. It might help if every '03&'04 mach1 attending this show would send him an e-mail or PM

I'm not on the Carlisle Staff, nor am I an owner of a Mach1. I'm just a car enthusiast that's gotten some really great service from the staff.

Dave Points has responded to just about every form of communication that I've thrown at him. His Morse Code is rusty though :) The best way to contact him is to call 717-243-7855. Further contact information can be found at http://www.carsatcarlisle.com/contact
It might help if every '03&'04 mach1 attending this show would send him an e-mail or PM
That just might slow things down if the staff has to answer 200 e-mails asking the same question. The staff really likes Car Clubs and groups with common interests. A single representative, like yourself, could be more effective than a flood of e-mails, PMs, or messages.
Classes are established based on the number of pre-registered vehicles.

I really do not know how they establish classes. I do know that the numbers of 2003/2004 Mach 1's are larger than most of the other classes. I would like to park with these guys, like we had for the past 3 years. I attend all the shows and get a season pass every year. I like Carlisle and think they do a good job at the shows. I would just like to know why one of the largest group of cars does not get its own class.
And btw old school if they use this forum to answer they would not get a flood of emails.

We have had out own class the last 2 years. We had 47+ cars last year in the class!!
We have been attending the Ford Show since it started 10 years ago and have had very good luck working with the organizers, etc. with the show until now. Well, the last 2 years, they didn't put out club tent within our class, maybe this year?

Maybe I'm missing something here but were you told directly by the staff that your class was eliminated or something?
Club tents are registered by an individual. Did the person that registered it for the past x number of years, register one for 2006?
See: http://www.carsatcarlisle.com/guest/carclubs.asp
You guys really need to speak directly to the staff and get some definites from the people that actual make decisions on these matters.

My friend, ( at least I hope so); if the Carlisle staff was as faithful answering on here as you was, this would have all been settled by now. If the answer is we do not have enough pre-registered, shame on us! If it is something else I would just like to know. As far as I am concern they can keep their plaques and judging, I go there to see and be with old friends. It just makes it easier if we are in one class. I would hate to try to ask a really nice person, as you seem to be, to move, so I could be by my other friends with their Mach 1's. Trust me, no one likes the Carlisle car shows better than I.

I'm flattered Dave but I'm just an enthusiast that wants to see you have as much fun as possible.
For two years, I've organized get togethers for Lincoln Mark VII enthusiasts from 2 people to 42 people. I cannot imagine the hard work involved in organizing 164+ classes of cars and over 28,000 visitors over the course of three days.
I know that when a person is passionate about something and then that something doesn't work out just right then we can get frustrated to the point of wanting to scream. Dude ... I'd give them a call and get the real deal from the real source. Patience goes hand in hand with perseverance. Us each one equally and you'll discover the answers that you need. The staff is running around right now making last minute adjustments for this Friday's event.
As for planning, my Club started planning for 2007 in APRIL of 2006 :) See you there!

Looking forward to meeting you John. I will be camping in a white F150 truck with a white cap and a tent attached to the back. My Mach1 is a blue 2003, of course there will be a dozen or so of them. My daughters 1993 cobra is teal with black cloth interior, they only made 185 of them in that color combo. Look us up, be glad to talk with you.

To be honest. I don't believe mine is nicer than any of the other 43 Mach's that were there on sat. I was just lucky. But, I sure did appreciate it.
