I've preregistered my '90 Lincoln Mark VII LSC SE for the Ford Nats and can't wait until June. Had a great time in 2005!
So why is this important?
There was a discussion on these boards of the possibility of mailing the windshield decal so preregisted participants could go directly to their class parking area. Has a decision been made on that?
Thanks

Rick - We have made a decision and we will not be able to have vehicles go directly to their designated class areas. We have tried various methods to speed up the process, but we have found that stopping at the gate is the best way to accurately assess vehicles and make sure they are in the proper class. As everyone is aware, there are a lot of comments and discussion about vehicles and their classes. As a matter of fact, for the All-Ford Nationals, we currently have over 160 classes of vehicles. To be fair to everyone, we must make sure that all vehicles are in the proper class. To do this and minimize the errors and confusion, we have found that it is best for our well trained staff members to confirm the class of a vehicle, then make sure it gets directed to the appropriate parking area.
If we would allow direct drive through the gate without confirming the vehicle's class, it would result in many vehicles being classed wrong and/or being parked in the wrong area. Once a vehicle is in the wrong area, we REALLY hear about it from the other vehicles in the class that are parked correctly. Once the vehicle is parked, the owner sometimes leaves the area and it is virtually impossible to then get the vehicle moved to the proper class.
I hope this provides an explanation of why we think it is necessary to stop at our Gate 3 for confirmation of your pre-registration. I would like to emphasize that PRE-REGISTRATION is very important for a variety of reasons. Most importantly, it gives Carlisle Events an accurate picture of the types and numbers of vehicles we can expect for the show. In that way, we can plan ahead and be prepared for the show. Our goal is to make the show fun and enjoyable. See you at the show!!

See you at the show!!
That's cool, I understand. Had such a great time in 2005, I didn't get to see everything. Looking forward to this year's Nats.
Where will I find you so I can say hello? :)

We have been actively encouraging all of the members of our club that are planning to attend to register early.
Since we have a very niche vehicle and our members are spread out all over the place, some coming from as far as Wisconson, this has been really helpful in helping us to plan our activities.
BTW: I would like to publicly thank Dave and the Carlisle team for all of the help that they have given to us.
You guys are doing a great job and I am really looking forward to meeting everyone in June!
