This was my second year at Corvettes @ Carlisle. What I have noticed is all the specialty cars (Grand Sports,ZR1,Collectors etc) are all nicely parked together in the center lower section and the Z06's were up on the hill. We had STRONG SHOWING about 55 Z06's there and those were just the ones that posted.
I want to request a spot change for 2005.

    Thank You,
    Ivo

    Default Larger location for Z06's

I would also like to add my 2 cents to IVOZ06's post. We really need a larger spot. While it was much better this year than in the past, we still had Corvette Forum C5's spilling over into our area, forcing late arriving Z06's to park way in the back. And given that the new Z06 will be hopefully on display at next year's show, it would be nice to have the C5 Z06's closer to the GM tent.

I too think that the car collections should all be in the same space.
As a member of the 50th registry, I felt that we were up on the hill also.

and the Dyno machine was not a help with the noise.

It sure would have been nice to have been able to park my new 2004 Z06 up in the area with my Z06 forum instead of with the other corvette forum.

The Z06 forum needs more space in a better place on the grounds!

I don't mind clubs having their own space. But each year people who are not in specialty clubs get pushed back farther and farther. This year I got there at 6:00 am on friday to find most of the good spots taken. I guess if I want a great spot I must buy a ZR1,a Grand Sport, or a 40th Anniversary. Soon I will have to arrive on Thursday to get a good spot, or soon I will not be able to get a spot at all because of all the Special parking. I could park with the C3 Registry, but they are back at the Turnpike. Please leave some places for non club members to park close to the fun. Not on the side of a cliff or a mile away. I am not writing this to offend anyone. Just my 2 cents.

I've been bringing my 72 to Carlisle since 2002, and I have yet to park anywhere but at the top of the hill, across the paved road. I usually arrive before 9am, and still there is no lower parking. I mean, it beats the hell outta parking off grounds, but it would be nice to be part of the show on the lower level....at least once.
