Default Judging: Drive-Thru VS. Walk Around

Hello Everyone. I know this question is one that many people like to agrue, and talk about a lot. But, I'd like to know what you think...do you like drive-thru judging or park in classes with walk around judging?
    Thanks.

Either or works for me. However, for those of us that part w/ our clubs should be able to stay there (at the tent) to get judged if it ends up being walk around judging and not drive through.

I like the drive up judging.

I can see and hear that the vehicles actually run

........................but its also isn't fair for them to be in >1 hour long "stop and go" lines either.

Any marginal cooling system will fail, many starters and battery systems will be too hot or dead after starting and restarting to get to the tent.........................and then you go to leave and have to get pushed out of the judging tent.

My rearward pointing exhausts on my lowered truck will kick up dust enough to make the vehicle behind me look like some one just drove down a country road.

    maybe
    - suggested times
    - maximum line length

i go with friends that have different class trucks and to park seperatly makes the weekend less fun. i really like the drivethrough idea. but i do understand the the waiting and problems that can come from waiting in line and starting and stopping the engine. but why not have times for each class to go through.maybe start each class every 15 min or so. that way waiting would be minimal

times for each class would be great. But what if you break donw on the way to the show and miss your time? Then you get in someone elses time and that trickles down the line and you have a huge line anyway. And we have 90 classes; some have 10 vehicles and some have 20 so the times would need to alter. I thought about the time slot very hard, and just cannot figure out the correct way to manage that system.

Too bad there isn't enough room for a FAST PASS lane like at Disney for the pregistered.

possibly issue time slips the day of the event

............ of course there are some who might believe that earlier is better than later and others that believe later is better than earlier.

there could always be a slot at the end of judging for people that missed the slot for the class they are in. seems like no matter what you do people are going to not like some of it. the parking in class is great if you come alone or with someone in your class. but my club comes with 2 or 3 trucks and we sometimes have another club with only a couple trucks so reg as a club wont work for us to good i wouldn't think. the drive thru allows us to park and hang out together easily. plus not all of the trucks compete.
